Summertime is here and that means there are lots of fun things to do around the city of Charlotte, North Carolina. Charlotte Hounds Lacrosse
Major League Lacrosse team the Charlotte Hounds is on the move and gaining more fans in the area each season. Come and watch the home team play high-energy field lacrosse against opposing teams.
Lake Norman Ski Club Learn 2 Ski & Wakeboard Clinics
Kids can have fun while learning how to safely water ski and ride a wakeboard during this one-day event. Clinics run from June 21 – 23.
Miles for Marines
The annual Miles for Marines race is held to benefit the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund. This year’s race is on June 22 at Westminster Park in Rock Hill.
Northeast Dolphins Football and Cheer
The Northeast Dolphins is an NFL sponsored sports organization for boys and girls. Safe football and cheering activities are taught to ages 5 and up. Daily meetings are held throughout the summer.
Queen City Bike Tours
Take a 90-minute bike tour around Charlotte and enjoy the fresh air while learning about the city’s storied history. Tours begin at 9:30am.
Charlotte Roller Girls
Get ready to watch all the rough and tumble excitement of women’s roller derby as the Charlotte Roller Girls go head-to-head with rival teams. Doubleheader action starts at 3:30pm on June 23 at the Grady Cole Center.
Kids Bowl Free at Strike City and 10 Park Lanes
Bring the kids out for some bowling fun at area lanes. Kids can bowl 2 free games each day during the summer.
Jack in the Box Summer Shootout Series
Watch Media Mayhem School Bus Races and more at the Charlotte Motor Speedway’s Shootout. Events start at 5pm and are open to all ages.
Moms on the Move a Walking Running Group
Moms at all fitness levels can get out and participate in this casual walking and running group. Get fresh air and exercise while hanging out with other moms. Strollers are welcome.
Charlotte Knights Baseball
Summer means baseball season and local residents can come to the ballpark to support their very own Charlotte Knights. Home games are held at Charlotte Knights Stadium in Fort Mill.
Race Viewing Party
The NASCAR Hall of Fame is host to this ongoing event. Relax in cushy seats while watching exciting race action on a 64-foot wide screen. All races are shown live.
TITLE Boxing Ballantyne
TITLE Boxing Club Ballantyne is offering a free boxing class for ages 6 to adult on July 8. Boxing experts teach technique and moves during a power hour of fitness.
Clash of the Bots IV
Humans of all ages can enjoy watching amazing robots battle it out in a fun game of hockey. This event is from 10am to 4pm on July 13 at the Schiele Museum in Gastonia.
Vanilla Summer Jam
Kate’s Skating Rink plays host to the hottest skating event of the year. Come out and skate with the Vanilla team and learn some cool moves. July 18 – 21.
Evening Kayak at Mountain Island Lake
Enjoy kayaking on beautiful Mountain Island Lake on the evening of July 25 at the Reedy Creek Nature Center. Open to ages 12 and up.
Carolina Panthers Preseason
Football preseason kicks off to a roaring start on August 9th as the Carolina Panthers play the Chicago Bears.
