The title sells it a little short since it’s actually 10 days long, but Restaurant Week and a Half doesn’t sound quite as catchy. From Friday, July 16, through Sunday, July 25, each participating upscale restaurant will offer a spectacular 3-course, prix fixe dinner menu for only $30 per person (not including tax and gratuity).

It’s a great opportunity to experience Charlotte’s wonderful variety of upscale restaurants without having to pay the premium price.

To see a complete list of participating restaurants and make reservations, visit http://www.charlotterestaurantweek.com/.

From cheap mulch to munchies. We've compiled a list of ways to save money in Charlotte.

Cheap Mulch and Soil from Charlotte Mecklenburg Yard Waste

Mulching your plants and beds is one of the most beneficial things you can do to preserve your yard’s outdoor appearance and your yard can account for up to 15% of your homes value. Save hundreds of dollars a year by purchasing Charlotte Mecklenburg’s mulch and compost. Many landscapers will say it is an inferior mix but the truth is: they buy it from here too!

Angel Food Ministries

This is an amazing, non-profit organization dedicated to providing food relief and financial support to communities across the US. Each month they sell a medium-sized box of fresh and frozen food for $30/month. The food would typically cost $60 at the grocery store. This is a great way to reduce food costs and not lose any quality or nutrition.
