Electrolux, a Swedish appliance maker is moving its North American headquarters to Charlotte. Currently, the company’s headquarters are in Augusta, GA. They are leasing a 225,000 sq. ft. building in the University area of North Charlotte. Those of you familiar with the area will recognize the building as the former headquarters of First Charter Corp.

The move will consolidate operations from 7 US cities and see an influx of about 740 jobs to the region.
